Dedicated In Memory
of our Friend & Leader
Dave Neith

W. Frank Horscroft, Jr.
1915-2004

W. Frank Horscroft Jr., 89, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 13 in St. Luke's Hospital.

Frank was an accomplished musician and scientist having played with Tommy Dorsey, Matt Gillespie among many others including the Dave Neith Orchestra.  We will all miss Frank along with the all of those who were touched by Frank's musical talent and scientific genius.

Dave Neith put together a group of Musicians with the idea of playing music that people can dance and listen to. A professional leader, quality arranger and a true gentleman dedicated to the art of Music. Holding the last note of a tune, everyone looks at the leader for the cut-off, what a sight looking at such a leader, the proud glow in his eyes and rewarding grin to all. This is something we will always remember.

Rick Wasilick and Steve Lombardi were asked to lead and continue the tradition of Dave's dream and love of the Band. Rick has performed with the United States Air Force Band throughout the East Coast and locally with his own band. He is featured as a Trumpet soloist and vocalist on this CD. Steve, a graduate of The Berklee College of Music has traveled throughout the USA performing with Dizzy Gillespie, The Buddy Rich Orchestra and various groups. Steve is the featured Trumpet soloist on "Star Dreams".

The Dave Neith Orchestra continues performing dances, concerts and private parties with that main idea, "Play Danceable Music." Our group, is made up of local musicians of a wide variety of talent. This is our "HOBBY" is the response you'll hear from all the members. We are honored to have a collection of people like Jack Rusin, a retired Quakertown Elementary School Music Teacher. He is respected for all his years of hard work teaching music to our generations to come. Jack is featured on Piano on this CD. Also featured are Gerry Moninghoff on Lead Alto, Chip Magdasy on Tenor Sax and Dale Frack on Trombone. The one that holds it all together is our drummer John DiProperzio. He has played and recorded with The Scott Bedford Four and the "Angels." We also have the pleasure of listening to Ronnie Cheek. Her smooth voice and tasteful phrasing brighten everything she performs.

We would like to give Special Thanks to Ken Moyer for his arrangements on this recording of Watch What Happens and Unforgettable performed by Ronnie Cheek. Ken's tasteful writing is known in the area and the music industry. A big thank you to Kent at Red Rock Recording Studio making it an enjoyable session for all.
